Brynmawr is about 50 min from Cardiff by car and train, and by local bus one and a half to two hours.
From Cardiff follow the M4 toward Newport and then take the A470 toward Merthyr Tydfil. Follow the signs toward Abergavenny (A465). Before reaching Abergavenny, you´ll find yourself on a roundabout taking you to Brynmawr, don´t take the exit marked Brynmawr (it takes you to the town centre) but follow the sign Beaufort and you´ll be on King Street. Just drive up the hill until you´ll see a big yellow building on your right.
You will usually need to find a parking place a little way from the Centre, as there are not many parking places in the street directly outside the Centre.
From Cardiff you can take a local bus X4 that will bring you to Brynmawr town centre, from where you can walk to the Centre (about 5min).
The nearest train station is Ebbw Vale Parkway, which it is about 4 miles from the Centre. From there you can either take a local bus or a taxi to Brynmawr. We suggest you order your taxi before your journey or have a number ready, since taxis are not usually waiting at the station.
Abergavenny train station, about 8 miles away; from the nearby Abergavenny bus station you can catch the X4 bus to Brynmawr (20min).
