Palpung Maitri House – House of Friendship - Ty Cyfeillgarwch

is a community venue, which aims to bring people together
under the umbrella of friendship, harmony, wellbeing and positivity.

Maitri House is non-denominational and open to everyone. The vision for Maitri House is to serve as a meeting place for the community and different groups as well as a platform for speakers, professionals, artists, dancers, singers, yoga, Qi Gong etc, different healing modalities, and all other aspects of wellbeing, which can bring benefit to people and the community.

The communal space can be rented out for events, community groups, individuals, and professionals. If you have a group, are planning to set up a group / activity or an event and are looking for a place to meet up, please feel free to contact us and come to see the place. The venue offers a variety of possibilities for usage. For meetings, small conferences, events, individual treatments and groups there are various areas: A small hall & stage (Yoga studio) which can be closed / opened up by a room divider according to the group size; a treatment / therapy area; a Cozy Corner Lounge for informal meetings; “cafe” style setup for meetings with tables and chairs to use for groups etc. You can also hire the whole venue. In the summer 2022 we opened Palpung Maitri House to serve the local community, and provide a safe place where the groups can meet up, professionals can offer their wellness activities, and friends can get together in the coffee mornings. Venue Hire

Yoga Studio & Stage

  • This cosy “Yoga studio” with stage can be used for multiple activities when hiring this area, it also includes the consultation area / stage. There is a soundproof room divider which separates the area from the rest of the venue.

    This area can fit groups of up to 8 - 10 if doing yoga or similar. You can fit more people in this area if it was used with tables and chairs.

    If you need a larger area for your group, you can open the room divider and use also the lounge area. In that case it can accommodate around groups of 12-15. (please see the prices below)

  • YOGA STUDIO & STAGE:
    £10 / hour
    YOGA STUDIO & LOUNGE:
    £15 / hour (opening the room divider)

Lounge Corner

  • There is a small sofa and 7 armchairs, two coffee tables to use group meetings. 3 extra armchairs can be added, and the bar can also be used. There are facilities for making coffee & tea and serving buffet type foods. There are no cooking facilities.

  • COSY CORNER LOUNGE:
    £10 / hour

    YOGA STUDIO, STAGE & LOUNGE:
    £15 / hour (opening the room divider)

“Cafe” Area

  • There are 9 café tables with chairs permanently on site and an extra 5 are available if needed.

    The bar can be also be used. There are facilities for making coffee & tea and serving buffet type foods. There are no cooking facilities.

  • CAFE MEETING AREA WITH THE BAR (seats about 20 people):
    £10 / hour

    BOTH CAFÉ & LOUNGE AREA WITH THE BAR (without yoga studio & stage):
    £20 / hour

Lounge & Cafe

  • This is an area in the yoga studio, which can be used for one to one consultations, massage, or other similar treatments. The area is a part of the yoga studio, so it will always be hired together. There is a curtain to separate the small hall from the consultation area. This area is separated from the rest of the venue with a soundproof room divider.

  • TREATMENT / CONSULTATION AREA (this includes also the yoga studio):
    £10 / hour

Whole Venue

  • This area includes both the cafe side and the lounge, but not the yoga hall and the stage.

    There are 9 café tables with chairs permanently on site and an extra 5 are available if needed. Sofa & 10 armchairs are also included.

    The bar can also be used. There are facilities for making coffee & tea and serving buffet type foods. There are no cooking facilities.

  • BOTH LOUNGE & THE BAR & CAFÉ AREA (without the yoga studio & stage):
    £20 / hour

Consultation Area

  • This includes the use of the whole venue with its all facilities.

    There is a disabled access to the venue. The facilities also include three toilets, one being also accessible for disabled.
